STARK PHARMACY

logoStark Pharmacy provides more services and products than almost any discount drug or grocery store in the area. With 4 locations in Kansas City and Overland Park, they offer top-notch assistance and true quality assurance. The problem? Stark wanted more potential clients to attend the free natural hormone therapy seminars they held monthly. The fix? We suggested primarily radio and TV advertising for their company. We determined the best stations for Starks’ needs and provided them with the most appropriate schedules for each station. Within a very short time, Starks’ seminar audiences have more than doubled. We’ve always known it! etc. advertising makes a real difference!

ONE STOP DECORATING

osdOne Stop Decorating is one of Kansas City’s most prominent home décor shops, with 4 locations throughout the Kansas City metro area. They are the largest dealer of Hunter Douglas products in the region and the only Hunter Douglas Gallery in all of K.C. The problem? Although Hunter Douglas blinds, shades and shutters are considered the finest in the U.S., One Stop Decorating needed their clients to understand that their stores carry more than just window coverings. As a matter of fact, One Stop Decorating not only carries most of the materials necessary to build or remodel an entire home, they also boast an award-winning staff of interior/exterior designers. The fix? Through our radio, television and print advertising, we started addressing the fact that One Stop has ‘Everything’!!. We later hired a professional photographer who created numerous dream-quality photos of an award-winning home designed exclusively by One Stop. Then we turned those photos into a striking brochure, several magazine ads, lots of postcards, and a beautiful television commercial.

STUART WOODBURY INSURANCE

stuart_logoEasily recognized and easy to work with, Stuart Woodbury relishes in matching the absolute perfect term life insurance policy to the needs of a specific family. The problem? To confront individuals with the fact that life insurance is a necessary buy for every family in the U.S. without appearing abrasive. The fix? We simply wrote radio commercials that were a tiny bit on the light side without getting too casual about the subject. We made our point without having to ram our fists down the audiences’ proverbial throats. And it worked!

BGI

BGI produces and implements a highly technical warehouse service software system entitled ‘SmartDock’ It is used by most grocery distributors and stores in the U.S. The problem? To persuade other types of warehouses to want to understand and use BGI’s product. The fix? A series of 4 postcards sent to warehouse managers, who all surely know and face the tremendous problems a warehouse sees everyday. The postcards are individually designed, using one or two words, on the front of each, to articulate the different hot buttons shrouding most warehouse operations. On the flip side of the card, we explain how BGI can fix the manager’s specific problem.

COLLEGE CONNECTION

College Connection is a consulting company designed to help teens and their parents find their way through the sticky maze of college preparation. The problem? Sandra Jacob, college prep Specialist, wanted to find a way to attract attention to a book she’d just authored and, through it, to her company the College Connection without spending a great deal of money on a big advertising campaign for each. The fix? We decided that if we simply touted Sandra’s new book, using Public Relations to do so, EVERYONE would come! Charging Sandra a small monthly fee for designing a public relations campaign and a media packet, we convinced numerous newspapers and radio and TV stations to interview her. Our cost to her could never have touched what the media would have charged her for equivalent advertising time, yet this public relations campaign brought her the credibility and recognition she desired. THE CIVIC OPERA THEATRE

The Civic Opera is a not-for-profit organization, utilizing the skills of many highly talented volunteer professional and amateur vocalists as well as a mostly volunteer staff and board. Their entire focus is in introducing Kansas City audiences to opera in an enjoyable and meaningful way so they’ll want to come back… again and again. The problem? Most people see opera as BORRRRRING. But, let’s face it, the Civic Opera wants to change their minds. The fix? We created a radio campaign with commercials written to persuade both young and old that opera actually can be fun. The commercials you can open here are part of that award-winning campaign.

BROOKSIDE OPTICAL

Brookside Optical is one of the finest eyewear retailers in Kansas City. With locations in Olathe, Prairie Village and south Overland Park, Brookside Optical’s certified sales personnel pride themselves on fitting the perfect frame and lenses to the specific person. Sometimes wild, sometimes conservative, but never boring, Brookside Optical’s fashionable glasses make a statement wherever they go! The problem? In the past, Brookside Optical has been known predominantly for it’s high-end designer frames. With the introduction of some less expensive, but still chic and trendy, products, Brookside Optical is hoping to convince the public that their eyewear is just as affordable as the client wishes them to be. Brookside Optical also wants the shopper to understand that they provide a level of personal service unseen anywhere else, especially not in any of Kansas City’s big box or chain stores. The fix? We decided to concentrate, in a creative and humorous way, on all the things that make Brookside Optical different from the competition while also striving to sell the idea of just how inexpensive a pair of glasses from Brookside Optical can be. Featuring their “anytime, all-the-time 2 for 1 offer” makes it easy for Brookside Optical to persuade the shopper that he/she will actually get the very best bargain right near his or her home at Brookside Optical. We have selected radio, television, direct mail and public relations to get Brookside Optical’s story out.
